Large Highland Cow Workshop

Description 

During this fun and relaxing 4hr workshop you will create a large highland cow using stoneware clay. These are ideal decorative features for the garden or in the home. 

Easy step by step instructions will enable all participants to successfully create a highland cow.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability and is open to everyone from the age of 12 years. (Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.)

Once your cow is bisque fired, a mutually convenient date will be organised for you to come and glaze your piece.

All pottery workshops are taught by me. I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher who has been working with clay for over 30 years. 

Location

The workshop will take place at my studio in Caersws, Powys. (The full address and directions will be given after booking)

What to bring 

• Please wear covered shoes to comply with health & safety.
• An apron – hand-building is not particularly messy but your clothes may get a little dusty

Terms & Conditions

The cost of the workshop is £65 per person and runs for approximately 4 hours, with a short refreshment break in the middle (refreshments provided). 

The price includes all clay, glazes, kiln firings, use of tools & equipment and light refreshments. 

Payment is required at the time of booking. A full refund is available up to two weeks before the date of the workshop. After this time, I regret that I am unable to reimburse you, although every effort will be put into finding another alternative date to suit.

If for any reason I need to cancel the workshop, then a full refund will be provided.

You will be notified once your piece has been bisque fired and a date for glazing will be arranged.

Once pieces have been glaze fired, you will be notified and your piece can be collected (Pieces will be kept for one month after notification). If you are unable to collect, posting your work to you can be arranged at cost.

*** Lunch is not included but please feel free to bring a packed lunch. There is a microwave and a mini oven available for your use.
